Privacy policy
This policy explains how Evan Karp Electrical (ABN 68 620 127 139), trading as EK Electric, handles the personal information you give us. It was last updated on 30 October 2026.
What we collect
When you enquire, book or work with us we collect the details you give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, your suburb or the address of the job, and information about the electrical work you need (for example the EV you drive and where a charger would go). If we carry out work for you, we also keep quotes, job records, compliance certificates and invoices.
How we collect it
We collect it directly from you: through the forms on this website and our other pages, by phone, by text message, by email, and through enquiry forms on our Facebook and Instagram ads. When you call us, our phone system records the number you called from and the time of the call so we can call you back.
Why we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, book and carry out the work, issue certificates, invoice you, and follow up on quotes. We may send you text messages or emails about your enquiry. We also use it to understand which of our ads and pages bring in enquiries.
Who we share it with
Your information is seen by the EK Electric team and by the service providers who help us run the business, such as the companies that host this website, handle our forms, phone, text messages and email, keep our job records, and manage our advertising (including our marketing agency). Where a job needs it, we provide details to your electricity distributor, a certifier or a regulator. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and advertising
This website uses cookies and advertising tools, including the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags, to measure visits and enquiries and to show our ads to people who may need them. Meta and Google handle that data under their own privacy policies. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook, Instagram and Google settings and clear or block cookies in your browser.
Storage and security
We store your information with reputable providers, some of which may hold it on servers outside Australia, and we take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it for as long as we need it for the work, our records and the law.
Access, correction and questions
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, ask us to stop contacting you, or raise a privacy concern, by calling us on (02) 4214 4144 or emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
